Music Technology & Advocacy
A Bay Area native, my Dad designed spy satellites & my Mom was a classically-trained opera singer. I've been at the intersection of music & technology from the start.
Balancing Art & Science
I'm equally comfortable presenting from the floor of the NAB trade show as I am in a conference room with the CEO, CTO, & CFO. I speak with developers on the use of APls & client-server system architectures, while discussing new revenue streams with product mangers. A keen listener, I hear what issues are important to people and develop solutions to further their goals.
Devices, Services & Startups
From global consumer electronics manufacturers like Matsushita (Panasonic), Sony, and Clarion; digital media companies like Gracenote, Liquid Audio, and Avid (Digidesign); or emerging startups like Soniq Labs, PopCult Radio, and fansino – I've spent quite some time helping customers understand, adopt, and implement new music technologies.
I've fought to improve the lives of working musicians by leading the advocacy
efforts of The Content Creators Coalition & The Recording Academy. I've worked with city, state, and national leaders to create policies and legislation that value music creators. In that process, I've worked with many similar organizations who share these beliefs.
